Ammunition Dump

There is a beautiful beach near Lever Point which is a few kilometres north of Yandina. Offshore, at about 120 feet (35m) there is an underwater mound of vehicles, artillery shells and packs of ammunition. You can also snorkel over the coral along the beach, or dive down the slope.  There are areas where the coral had been damaged, and at the bottom of these slopes, there are the remains of vehicles including jeeps and trucks.  On the slopes there are clumps of debris including artillery shells and 50-calibre machine gun rounds.
