Moa

The New Zealand corvette HMNZS Moa sits upright near the entrance to Tulaghi Harbour at 130 feet (40 m). It was built in 1941, was 150 feet long and displaced 600 tons.  The ship was sunk in 1943 by bombs from Japanese aircraft.  A corvette is a small warship and dives are conducted from the mooring on the stern.

There is much to see on this wreck including the depth charge racks, rudder, propeller, 4 inch gun, and small engine room.
